At Horwich Parish, we aspire to enable children to be scientists by developing a culture of curiosity and enquiry. From their start in Early years, the children are always encouraged to flourish by exploring their understanding of the natural world. We lay the foundation for a progressively deepening knowledge and understanding that will be useful to them later in life. Building scientific enquiry skills allows our children to use a variety of approaches to answer questions by performing experiments and analysing results. We strive to inspire children by studying the achievements of notable scientists through history and how they continue to influence the world around us. We also
try to provide a range of enriching activities to bring the excitement of the subject to our children.
