At Horwich Parish Primary School, PE plays an important role as we aim to raise aspirations, achievements and life chances of all pupils through PE and Sport.
Our PE curriculum has been created to match the national curriculum and carefully follows the national strategies allowing children to demonstrate high moral standards and deeply encourages, challenges and inspires pupils to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Our high quality physical education and school sport programme is inclusive for all children and helps them to achieve this by engaging pupils in learning opportunities that develop, stretch and excite the imagination of our children and imbed key Christian values including: Love, respect, forgiveness, perseverance, compassion, trust and friendship.
We offer a variety of after school clubs throughout the year which are based around the interests and needs of our pupils. The school’s participation in competitions within our local cluster of school and the wider area, provide our pupils with the opportunity to flourish.
At Horwich Parish, we strive for all children to achieve and realise their potential in sport as they ‘Let their light shine’ both individually and collectively.
